TRACII GUNS BAND Prepare To Hit The Road

THE TRACII GUNS BAND, featuring Tracii Guns, Paul Black, Nickey Alexander and Jeremy Guns, are gearing up to tour the U.S. April 20 through May 20. They will be performing L.A. GUNS hits along with songs from BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION and Tracii's solo tunes. This is almost the entire original L.A. GUNS band, reuniting after their breakup nearly twenty years ago. [The original lineup was: Paul Black (vocals),Tracii Guns (guitar),Robert Stoddard (guitar),Mick Kripps (bass) and Nickey Alexander (drums).] Shortly before the band was signed to Polygram, Paul Black, Robert Stoddard and Nickey Alexander had left. Phil Lewis and other members were then brought in to form the L.A. GUNS that most fans are familiar with.

"While I was drumming with THE JONESES in 1985, I formed my own band, L.A. GUNS, as a singer," explained Paul Black. "So the scene was still pretty much the same. There was a big crossover from the punk and trash scene. My original intention with L.A. GUNS was to have a punk version of THE ROLLING STONES."

Black wrote and co-wrote a large portion of what appeared on the first L.A. GUNS album, along with one track on the second release. The original versions of the songs can be found on the recently released PAUL BLACK'S L.A. GUNS "Black List" CD. The album is compiled of old recordings that had been stored away for more than ten years.
